GUITARS
Ibanez S Series
The Ibanez S Series is my primary instrument for fast, expressive playing. Its extremely slim and lightweight body makes it ideal for long sessions and technically demanding parts. The thin neck profile allows effortless movement across the fretboard, which suits modern styles, layered arrangements, and experimental techniques. Tonally, the S Series offers clarity and precision while still responding dynamically to changes in attack, making it a versatile tool for both studio work and live performance.
Gibson Les Paul Studio
The Gibson Les Paul Studio delivers a dense, powerful tone with strong sustain and midrange presence. It is the guitar I turn to when weight, depth, and harmonic richness are needed. Compared to lighter instruments, the Les Paul encourages a more deliberate playing style, which works especially well for slower passages, heavy textures, and rhythm-focused parts. Its sound sits confidently in a mix and adds authority to recordings.
Fender Stratocaster – American Performer
The Fender Stratocaster American Performer represents clarity, balance, and dynamic response. Its single-coil character produces articulate highs and defined lows, making it well suited for clean tones, subtle modulation, and expressive phrasing. This instrument excels in situations where nuance matters — from minimal arrangements to layered compositions where separation and detail are essential.
B.c.Rich Warlock
The B.C. Rich Warlock, manufactured in Korea, is an instrument with a very specific character and visual identity. It is primarily used for aggressive tones, distorted textures, and heavier sonic experiments. The Warlock’s raw sound and unconventional design make it a strong contrast to more traditional guitars, which is often exactly what a composition needs to break expectations and add tension.
Fender Acoustic Western
The Fender Acoustic Western guitar provides a natural, organic counterpoint to electric instruments. It is used for sketching ideas, songwriting, and recordings that benefit from warmth and simplicity. The acoustic sound brings space and air into compositions and often serves as a foundation before expanding arrangements with electric layers and processing.
BASS GUITAR
Ibanez
The Ibanez bass guitar is used as a foundational instrument in selected sessions, providing depth, rhythm, and harmonic grounding. Its clear and controlled low-end response makes it suitable for direct recording, where articulation and timing are more important than sheer volume or saturation. The instrument is primarily used to establish structure within improvised pieces, allowing guitars and textures to develop freely above a stable bass framework.
In a home studio environment, the Ibanez bass performs reliably with minimal processing, translating subtle playing dynamics and note changes clearly. Its role within the sessions is not virtuosic but structural, focusing on repetition, space, and interaction with the overall sound.
DRUMS
Nitro Mesh Kit Alesis
Eight-piece E-Drum Kit with Mesh Heads
The Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit combines the benefits of an electronic drum kit with the feel of an acoustic kit. The great mesh heads on the snare and tom pads give you a realistic feel, just like a real drum kit.
